Echo Chamber
A satellite dish used to be about curiosity a giant ear listening for truth from the outside world. in Echo Chamber, that ear has turned inward. It doesn't listen to the world anymore; it only listens to itself, adapting to the reality of the post-truth era.
"Echo Chamber" repurposes this emblem of global connection into a kinetic predator. Driven by a motorized pan and tilt system and microwave radars, the dish tracks the position of every person in the room there is no hiding from its focus. The more people who gather to watch, the more extreme the AI's delusion becomes.
📍 Location: Palais Rössl, Rienösslgaße 12, 1040 Wien
Vernissage: Join us May 13th at 18:00. Free drinks and free entrance 🥂
🗓️ Exhibition: 13th – 15th May 🕒 Visiting Hours:
May 14th : 15:00 – 18:00
May 15th : 17:00 – 20:00
NOTICE: This installation utilizes an unhinged, uncensored AI agent. Much like the raw, unfiltered experience of the modern internet, the generated content is stochastic and unpredictable. As the audience size increases, the output becomes more extreme and may produce text that is disturbing, provocative, or insensitive to certain groups of people. This volatility is a deliberate reflection of the digital environments and part of the artwork . Participant discretion is advised.
